For our first Anniversary we took a trip to romantic Quebec City.  It was foreign enough to be “exotic”, they speak French there, yet close enough to get to for a long weekend.
While there, we ate, took walking tours of the old city, ate, took a 15 mile roundtrip to a beautiful waterfall (Chute Mont Morency), and ate some more.
The soup and salad lunch we had in our hotel bistro, Le Sin Venial - the Venial Sin, was named by Vicki to be our best meal there.
I’d suggest this trip to anyone considering a northern jaunt, and would highly recommend the first week of Aout (August) for the Fete de Nouvelle France.
